And a Cup!
Alex rode his bike today with his daddy's help. He's having a hard time controlling it well, and hasn't practiced enough because its still been pretty hot here. It is a big chopper style bike.
Anyway, after about an hour they come back in the house. Alex had fallen but was OK. Except he said he hurt himself in then groin area. He took his pants off right in the livingroom to check if it "left a mark." I made him go to the other room for all that. He is so not shy!
Later, he was watching TV with his daddy and I. He tells me he needs some knee and elbow pads before he rides again. I said that was a good idea. Then he says real discreetly, "and a cup." I busted out with laughter! He caught me completely off guard with that one! Ordinarily I would try not to laugh at that, hoping to not encourage more of that kind of talk. But this was just too funny. He got me.

Kids are so funny. My son remarked that his Batman utility belt buckle was low, right over his "weenis," the other day. I couldn't help it--I just busted out laughing. The 10-year-old boy in me giggles just writing it down. It's so hard to keep composed & sophisticated sometimes.
